McClure Pass Sheep

Glenn,
I took these last weekend when they moved them out of Lead King Basin and over McClure Pass to the Muddy Creek. They had 2800+ and it will usually take 2 to 3 days to get them all the way to the ranch. Hope all is well with you guys, Cole.

See above slide-show for more pictures, including trophy antelope.

Need more pictures or Videos -- you've sent some good ones - getting a lot of hits on the site.

Let me know if you're still having trouble _ have a lot of data on it now may
take a little longer to load.

Glenn,

I've been trying to get into the TEC blog and can't seem to make it work. Thought maybe you're working on it.

Locked horns
This is is how you fill the freezer. Ernie This was shot north of Fryburg, ND opening morning, my wife had been watching the pair this fall, on opening morning she spied the one buck but his head was down dragging something.
He later threw his head in the air and she noticed the second buck locked on the horns. She waited till the season opened at 11:00 am MT (they obviously weren't going any where very fast) and she shot. The Game warden was called and a special permit was given for the other buck (which was dead, but still warm).

Mountain Lion -- Received from Darrel
March 3, 2008
Jason, A co-worker hit this mountain lion on Hwy 24 between Manitou Springs and Red Rock Open Space. It was a 4 year old male and was underweight. The DOW let him keep it after paying for a tag. The head is being tested for rabies/plague and will be returned to him. It jumped over the jersey barrier in front of his truck going 55 MPH and there was nothing he could do. He clipped it with the bumper on the drivers side and it was dead.

Donner bridge bear - 9/16/2007
Fm Jill 3/15/2008
A bear was walking across Rainbow Bridge (Old Hwy 40 at Donner Summit, Truckee) on Saturday when two cars also crossing the bridge scared the bear into jumping over the edge of the bridge. Somehow the bear caught the ledge and was able to pull itself to safety. Authorities decided that nothing could be done to help Saturday night so they returned Sunday morning to find the bear sound asleep on the ledge

Marble Colorado snow pictures (Cole)

Glenn, are these pictures any better? I still have to boil the skull on the deck and I went snowshoeing this PM for a walk with the dogs and found some more elk beds. They destroyed my trail and the boys were having a hard time with all the deep holes from the hooves driving into the 3 to 4ft. of snow. It looks like a new storm is blowing in but it was almost 45 degrees today (the warm before the storm )

Dear Partner,
Hello! Aspen/Snowmass received 29 inches of snow in the last 48 hours, bringing our snow total since December 1, 2007 to 150 inches – twelve and a half feet of snow! Please find some new images attached from our photographer, Jeremy Swanson. His comments from this morning capture our conditions perfectly:+ 2 feet has already fallen with the current storm, another foot is in the forecast… + Face shots all around+ Forget inches, every storm this season is measured in feet Please let me know if you need any more information or images.
Thanks,
Kim

It’s DEEPcember at Aspen/Snowmass! With 106 inches (270 cm) of snow this month on top of Snowmass – almost 9 FEET– it’s the snowiest December in more than 20 years. Come celebrate DEEPcember all season long at Aspen/Snowmass!

Baby Moose 12 hours old

The person who took these pictures writes......In my 33 years in Alaska I have never seen a new born baby moose. This one was not even a half a mile from our house. The mother picked a small quiet neighborhood and had her baby in the front yard at 5:30 am. Allen and I were out bike riding when we came upon the pair. The lady across the street from this house told us she saw it being born. We saw them at 5:30 pm. So the little one was 12 hours old. What an awesome place we live in to see such a sight.
